Rep. Boyd, Sen. Flexer Welcome $5 Million in State aid for Day Kimball Hospital in Putnam

On the final day of the 2022 legislative session, state Senator Mae Flexer and state Representative Pay Boyd (D-Pomfret) announced that the state budget approved by the House of Representatives and the Senate and now awaiting Governor Ned Lamont's signature includes $5 million for Day Kimball Hospital in Putnam to help create a new workforce pipeline for critically necessary health care personnel and to mitigate some of the hospital's revenue losses suffered during the two-year COVID-19 pandemic.

Putnam DMV Office to Open

In case you missed it, the Department of Motor Vehicles office in Putnam is expected to open within the next 90 days. The facility has been closed for about 2 years due to the pandemic.
