Happy Friday!

Hamden Fire Chief Jeffery Naples received a proper send off as he retired from the department with a distinguished career. He worked there for nearly 20 years, starting as a firefighter and climbing up the ranks. Chief Naples dedicated his life to the Hamden community and guided the fire department through challenging times. Congratulations on your retirement and best of luck!

Assistant Fire Chief Shelly Carter is now serving as Hamden’s Acting Fire Chief. She is the first Black woman to serve in that role. The Town of Hamden is confident in her leadership skills and expertise to lead the fire department with dignity and grace. The Hamden Legislative Council must approve her new appointment. Congratulations on your pioneering promotion!
