Monday, November 11 is Veterans Day.

Those who live in freedom will always be grateful to those who helped preserve it. This Veterans Day, to all those who have served and their families, thank you for all you have done for our country. 🇺🇸

The election is mere days away, and now is the time to make sure you have a plan to cast your ballot!

Early voting is running now through Sunday, Nov. 3.

I was thrilled to see our district receive funding from the State Bond Commission for the following projects:

$35,937,308 for Gold Star Bridge rehabilitation on I-95 Groton/New London
$250,000 for the City of New London for the planning for the redevelopment of Gordon Court senior housing
$250,000 for the Southeastern Council on Alcoholism & Drug Dependence, Inc. for planning for a community for individuals in recovery on Coit and Reed Streets in New London

By supporting our most vulnerable through funding for senior housing and services for those recovering from addiction, all residents of New London will see major benefits that will uplift our community.

As Veterans & Military Affairs House Chair, I had the opportunity to speak at Veterans Rally Point, where Comcast awarded $50,000 to Easterseals Capital Region & Eastern CT to support digital skills training for the military community. Thank You Comcast and Veterans Rally Point for your dedication to our veterans!

This week I joined The United Way and non-profit community leaders and colleagues to unveil their latest policy agenda for 2025 at the State Capitol on Tuesday.

Their goal is to help income-constrained families. According to the United Way, Connecticut is the only state in the nation that taxes a family’s income but does not provide them with tax relief to offset the high cost of raising children.

I had the great opportunity to meet with Middlesex Community College students today along with colleagues at the Legislative Office Building. I was glad to see, hear and answer questions in regards to the job as a State Representative, why I decided to do what I do, and some bills I've been involved with. A great day.

This week was the "We Are New London Parade". A beautiful day that showed our diversity, strength and the good vibes to recognize how great we are when we come together. Great job to all those involved in making this such a great event.

We celebrated the beginning of Hispanic Heritage Month with a great Fiesta & recognition in front of City Hall.
