The 2020 legislative session will get underway on Wednesday, February 5^th and we will be working on many issues that affect Newington, Rocky Hill, Wethersfield and the state.

Opening Day for the next Legislative Session is Wednesday February 5, 2020.

A hearing on the transportation bill has been scheduled for Friday January 31, 2020 at 1 p.m. in the Legislative Office Building Room 1E.

I'm very pleased to have worked with State Rep. Gary Turco, (D-Newington) and Sen. Matt Lesser (D-Middletown) as well as advocate Jan Kritzman of Newington in fighting for the passage of a bill that advances health care coverage for annual cancer screenings which was eventually added to language in the most recently passed biennium budget.

With the 2019 legislative session in the rear view mirror we are still busy working for our districts and residents across the state.

Last night, the Connecticut General Assembly passed the biennium budget, and it will be transmitted to Governor Lamont for his signature.
