State Representative Pat Boyd (D – Pomfret) lauds the Connecticut State Bond Commission's approval of $1.5 million for upgrades to the regional Quinebaug Valley Emergency Communications System (QVEC).
On the final day of the 2022 legislative session, state Senator Mae Flexer and state Representative Pay Boyd (D-Pomfret) announced that the state budget approved by the House of Representatives and the Senate and now awaiting Governor Ned Lamont's signature includes $5 million for Day Kimball Hospital in Putnam to help create a new workforce pipeline for critically necessary health care personnel and to mitigate some of the hospital's revenue losses suffered during the two-year COVID-19 pandemic.
